Meet the Mermaid (and her muses) behind On the Rocks Apothecary

Meet the saltwater soul behind On the Rocks Apothecary — a tropical island dreamer turned Pacific Northwest potion-maker. What started in the Florida Keys as a beachy, boozy candle-and-body-care brand has grown into a wild, forest-meets-sea blend of self-care sass and small-batch magic.

Now based on Whidbey Island, Washington, this mermaid-gone-mountain is still chasing coastal bliss — just with more pine trees, colder water, and a few extra flannels. Inspired by the tides, the trails, and two mischievous long-haired dachshunds (Copper & Sasquatch, aka Sassy). With a new product line to include handmade pet products for muddy paws and spoiled floofs everywhere.

Each scrub, soap, butter, and spray is infused with the essence of her journey: from salty Southern waters to mossy forests, from barefoot beaches to Squatch country. With every scent, she invites you to escape — whether to a sun-kissed shoreline or a deep-woods hideout.
